Can someone help identify this gorgonian for me. All I was told was it was photosynthetic.

Can someone help identify this gorgonian for me. All I was told was it was photosynthetic.

Hi,

I don't see a picture or link to see. Even if the gorgonian is photosynthetic, such as the purple gorgonian, they need to be out of the direct lighting and under strong water flow (not so strong it bends them over). Under direct lighting algae builds up on them, preventing the little "flowers" from opening and closing, killing them.
