Green Clown Goby

I ordered a shipment of fishes that I received on tuesday. One of those fish was a green clown goby. I haven't seen it since. Now I got a firefish goby and I know it was shy in the beginning especally when I kept going into the tank to adjust the corals and rocks. Are clown gobies just as shy? I'd like to see him someday or else I'll have to consider him MIA.

yes they are very hard to find when they hide and they will hide even more so than a fire fish before they come out.

I was afriad someone would come along and say that. My firefish is out all the time now but it took it a month to come out and stay out. Right now, the green clown goby hasn't been seen since tuesday. That's why I'm worried it's died.
As sad and frustrating as that is, the cycle of life will continue thru the CUC.

I have 4 yellow clown gobies...2 in each tank...and they find the weirdest places to ..."set"...sometimes they look likethey are stuck to the side of the glass
.....look in the little nooks and stuff....you'll see it eventually...(if it's alive that is)

my citron clown goby was not shy at all but (as I'm shure you already know) he dose have a fin that he can hold on so he could just be sitting some where you can't see him (if this is posable) I am learning that I have made too good of hiding spots for some fish so I am thinking about moving my rock so that the "dark caves" face to the front and not the back ya my fish might not like it as much but who owns who here (I wonder about the last one a bit)

oh ya mine likes my ranbow brain(not the green one but I guss he'd stand out much more) and a large shroom and sometimes sits on other corals but mostly the brain do clown gobys "host" like clowns? or are these spots just the spots that he likes and if I moved the corals he would still go there?

About the last bit...REMEMBER...as much as we like to see our fish...this is THEIR home now, and we need to make it as convenient, and natural for them as possible

Meowzer, you have multiple clown gobies in your tank?? i wanted to get a citron, black and yellow to go with my green but someone had mentioned that they will fight so i was afraid to do it......Have you noticed this??
to the OP, my clown goby will sit on my hand at feeding time and let me pet it but it did take about 3 weeks to come around. just wait till you are a feeding the tank one day and it will pop out. they love love love their food!

Yes...BUT they are the same type of goby...all yellow clowns....I did have a green goby in with 2 once...It died...but not cause the yellows bothered it.....My yellows do not fight....I think certain ones may...you have to check..but yellow and green are ok together

I have come to the conclusion that my green clown goby is dead. I haven't seen him since the 14th when his shipment arrived. I torn that tank to to pieces, removing every rock in there and didn't even find a body. So unless there is some miracle appearance I fear he is dead which is upsetting. I only got to seen him in his bag and then briefly on a rock before disappearing permanently.
Well, at least the firefish goby is going strong. I love that red little flash of the tail.
