Green Hairy Mushrooms

I have a 220 gal. saltwater fishtank, it has just fish, but I also have 3 rocks of mushroom corals which have been in there for about a year. One green hairy mushroom, a red mushroom, and a blue mushroom. Over the past few weeks I have noticed that the grenn hairy mushroom has been flourishing, but the other two are still alive, but shrunken down in size. I heard of mushrooms using chemicals to kill each other, so how do I remedy this without having to get rid of any of these mushrooms? Unless that is the only way. I have also moved them to separate sides of the tank wich is 7 feet long. Thanks

I have not had any of my mushroom battle each other. They seem to live in harmony in my tank. I'm not saying yours are not fighting, but it just seems unlikely.
I believe that your other mushrooms just aren't as hearty or perhaps they need more light or something.

Not bad you caught a shark on your first post.
I've never seen my mushrooms have any problems with each other, pherhaps as Bang Guy points out it could be the lighting, also corals need calcium and a few other things. Perhaps you could tell us about your lighting and some test scores like nitrates Calcium, alkalinity or the like and maybe we could tell what is wrong with your mushies. Tell us more about the system, substrate, temp, salinity...you know.

Often when they shrivel, they are being exposed to too much light. Shriveling obviously allows for less photosynthesis, and the shroom keeps the balance that way. If the lights are not enough, they will stand up and stretch towards the light. I'm not saying it is the light, but it's possible. What is the lighting, and how far are they from it?
