Greenstar Polyps

I just got back from my LFS and they had green star polyps growing on the back glass of one of their reef tanks. My green stars are taking over my LR. How would I go about getting some off of the rock and on to the back glass? Has anyone heard of this before? Will they attach themselves to the glass, or do they not grow on vertical surfaces?

You could peel some off the rock and superglue it to the back glass.

If it does not work out will the superglue damage the glass?

It'll scrape off with a razor.

Use superglue gel. Its a little easier to use. My experience with glueing down star polyps is the original colony usually disintegrated. Thank fully it spread and attatched on its own. I have seen them come off the glue as well. I don't know if thats slime or i just didn't set them properly or i just didn't use enough glue. It gets hard when water is invovled with it. Super glue gel is still your best bet if you want to try anything....
