Snake, I am not so sure that this is a great thread, to be perfectly honest. It may be the way that some members feel, but not all. The problem with this is that you all think that new members will know how to search and will look at other threads. Sometimes they do, most of the time they do not. This board exists to help out fellow hobbyists. I have no problem helping people with situations time and time again. If it were the same person, then I would have an issue, but this site has new members every single day. They don't know where to look or how to post. I was in agreement with you while first reading this, then you start talking about why you wouldn't want to read someone else's post. That isn't helpful to the boards at all. If this thread didn't contain the negativity then it may have made sticky. As it is, it does not.
Agree here. Have seen this kind of post, someone trying to help out the new and old members, trying to get new people to post up all the answers to the questions they may be asked up front. I have not seen it work anywhere. New people aren't going to read this post, first they probably wouldn't even know to look for it, they are going to dive in with their question. Doesn't mean it isn't a good idea though. To Sep's point about the not wanting to read someones post I agree with her here too. Not the stuff stickies are made of.

My friend I agree with you 100% a person in this hobby when dealing with any problem needs as much information as they can possible get. But I think you would have to agree that in certain situations they need the emergency room first and then the hospital proper
I do agree joe.
I just agree to disagree that in that scenario the amquel would be the emergency room....if they had quick access to it. Just my opinion.

Hmm, I can re-write the second post to be more objective and lacking personal opinion...
Thanks for the opinions everyone!

Snake
I personally think anything you have done to get the thread a sticky is worthwhile

Hi again. I still don't know how to post a question to the general forum, that is why I am bugging you. I found out that the sand sifting starfish that was eating my hermit crabs is not the ordinary sss, but an unusual one, colors beige with broad brown bands, horizontal across the extensions, very bristley, millions of bristles that move, all over the extentions, not just underneath. Prettier than the plain drab gray sss, but went thru my hermit crabs like they were open buffet ! I took them back and traded them for sand sifting snails. THANKS, ginger17

I think that I am going to write about thread hijacking in this re-write. Do I need to create a new thread with the revised version, or get it changed in this one?

If you are asking me, I would wait for a bit to see if there is any more input here, then rewrite in another thread that you could ask the mods to lock and sticky. That way no extraneous clutter, if you know what I mean.

Yah, I agree. Once I get enough critisizm, I will go ahead and re-write it or add to it as needed.
Does anyone else feel like something else needs to be changed or added to the current paper?

HA! I don't think this person read your thread.
Thousands of tiny white flea looking...
I am in the 3rd week of cycling my tank. 75 gal. 100lbs LR. and 4 in base LS. I had some water clouding did asmall water change, water looks clear but with all these WHATEVER they are swimming around and crawling on the glass, I'm not for sure if it's foggy or the WHATEVER'S.
Also, I have a rapid growing SOMETHINGon the LR. It is snow white. I have a dark purple and dark green algae that I have been told is good! Any thoughts on the WHATEVER'S and SOMETHING'S?
