Guinea pigs or rabbit?

I would like to keep you updated but it changes day by day, in fact from Morning to night it changes. However if we do get a kitten there is no way that I would have it declawed. However right now we are looking at the ole dog route. FYI we currently have two cats who are 16 and one dog who is 14 and puppy 7 months. We had 2 14 yeard old dogs but lost the one about 3 months ago. I gotta tell you for the last hour my son has been playing with our puppy and so a dog is looking real good right now. That plus the 300+ miles I put on the car in the past 2 days looking at the pounds.
Just need to find another short hair medium size dog, preferrably female.

So here is the rabbit that we picked out. We were assured that it is a breed of rabbit called a labradorious retreiverous We were also told that they do surprisingly well with dogs for some reason. Also even though they are a rabbit they do not need a cage and can be free to roam the house. Another bonus is that they do not require any special type of food but can share the same food as the dogs. We feel very lucky to have gotten this special breed of rabbit. Thanks all for your help. This thread was too funny!! I had hubby read the whole thing and we both laughed.
Scott-you sure have been busy. Love the new rabbit-lab choice and hope he works out for you just fine. Pictures are adorable. Also, have you thought about a vertual pet or a toy dog/cat? You know, the kind that respond to voice and do tricks? They won't bite, scratch, eat or poop. Just a thought.
My birthday is today and I got my new skimmer! My parents are here visiting and my son can't wait to share my birthday cake. He got me a bak pak skimmer and I really wanted the remora but I am still thankful to have one. He said for the extra $100 he'll keep the tubes clean. I'm going to hold him to that.
Ant.

Ant, Happy B-day. So you are 29 for the what number of times? You said you laughed through this thread so I had to re-read it to see if you were laughing with me or at me. After reading the thread I still am not sure.
So how is your tank doing and how about Buck? Still on the mend I hope.

Scott-laughing at you, with you, with everyone...it was fun to read. John laughed too! Thanks for the birthday wishes. I'm celebrating my 29th for the 7th time! You know me all to well. We had a great day. I got some horse stuff, fish stuff and an snow cone maker. We got the skimmer hooked up tonight. I thought it would give me more water movement but it doesn't. :notsure: Some of my GSP didn't open today. The stupid pistol shrimp dug under that rock and covered a bunch of them with sand. I tell you, I'm very close to saying goodbye to that guy.
When we were hooking up the skimmer I checked SG and it was up to 1.027. We fixed it. My xenias are doing great! That and my polyp look like they might be splitting. I hope so. We went to Sea World and had dinner with Shamu...to cool! :jumping: Oh, that was yesterday, today we had dinner at the Cheescake fatory. Now I have to get back on my workout and regular diet. :joy: It was fun.
How's the new puppy? Are you sleeping at night? Buck is doing very well. One more week and I can get back on him for exercise.
I had a great weekend! :jumping: Hope you did too! Ant. :D
