Looks like I'm gonna have to add a few more Lawnmower Blennies. I have one and he cannot keep up. Even though he's a fatty, he's got a belly like Santa Clause!!!

foxface doesnt eat shrimps. i hv 3 of them in my tank, and he shows no interest whatsoever. i dont know where u get that idea from. as for algaefix, bad stuff since its chemical. maybe for a fowlr, but not in a reef.

i dont think chemical will help in the long run!!Just do alot of litle thing and be patient!!Try to remove everything that you can with your hand, buy turbo snails, increase whater change and reduce lightning schedul. After everything goes back to normal, increase lightning schedul slowly ,like 30 min each week till you reach a normal 8-10 hours. The algae did not come in one days so dont expect it to go off that quick!!!Good luck!!

I had some hair algae it was a pain to get rid of. I did not turn my lights on but for about 5 hours a day. It became less and less until all gone.
4 hours is alittle too little IMO but I do not think they will die but you might stunt some things.. I would also think for a long period of time it would not be the greatest thing to do. Supplement with foods for them and spot feed them assuring you do not over feed just enough to keep them healthy.
