Hairspray in the fish tank

I caught my daughter spraying hair spray on the glass. (She claims she was cleaning it) I couldn't be sure if she got it in the tank or not so I just watched it for a while. I think she did though. Some zoo's closed up and one of the fish seemed to be breathing hard. I changed 5 gallons (all I had on had at the time) thats about 12% water change. Is there anything else other than water changes I should be doing and how many?

run carbon. do multiple water changes.
Run carbon for im thinking two days then replace it with new carbon.
Water changes will be very important.
Im not expert just trying to help.
good luck.

Thanks guys. I have carbon running all the time already. I still can't be 100% sure she got any in there. The zoo's opened back up so it could have been a momentary freak on my part but hey an extra water change or two wont hurt.
And as for that 3 year old. Id like to beat her with the bottle of hair spray, but I can't be to mad. She's 3 they get into and do crap they shouldn't. My fault for trying to do homework in the afternoon.
