nope...so do i rinse both heads and still cut the other, or is rinsing enough?
Will the rinsing kill the other head?

no, not anymore, I use to add reef complete, essential elements, and strontium & molybdenum...but after being on these boards I have learned that water chages should take care of everything.

yeap, key is just do water changes i do 20% water changes every 2 weeks just because i have the time also... you dont need all that crap cuz if ur adding and cant test ur likely to run into problems... nothing works better than water change..in my opinion like snow and foods for coral r a rip off and not needed to me...just off feeding my fish those tiny pieces from the food r enough for my coral tiny tiny pieces we cant even see and the waterchange.. i mix my own sw with r/o and salt nothing from the lfs where they say its from the deep ocean bullcrap that water sucks just adding nitrates back into the tank and not removing anything its like if the water change was never done...i never buy stuff just for my coral and they thrive in my tank. try a fw dip just dip it, break off the infected side of the coral and dispose of it.. if it looks like a lost cause
for ur hammer hows the current in its spot.

OK fw dipped the hammer...both heads...clipped off the bad one and tossed it in my refuge...(just in case)..put the other head back in a good flow spot...so I guess I just have to wait and see now????
