Has anyone had clown take to a hairy mushroom is it a good combo?

Hi, about the first question.... Our clown hosts a hairy mushroom very similar to the one pictured. In the picture one of the mushrooms looks like its eating. (it is closed up) My question is how often do your hairy mushrooms do that? Ours only does it occasionally. Does that mean it's not eating enough? It seems very healthy. Thanks

My 2 mushrooms are eating almost every time i feed the fish. I don't feed them specifically.

mine close when my clown plays with them i have a total of five on one rock he jump to each one making them close up then a few min later they open right back up....

Mila, Thanks for the reply. So your mushrooms close every day? Do they have a clown fish? Every once in awhile I see it closed up at night with the fish inside. Maybe it eats after I go to bed? The only thing that eats everytime my fish do are the zoos.

ScubaGirl, you are welcome. Yes, my hairy mushrooms close almost every day. I have 2 clowns and they like them.

Those mushrooms will eat if you drop food on them but they don't "have" to be fed. It is pretty cool to watch tho.
