. Tylenol will not help you here, as it is not a vasodilator - which is what is required to treat a migraine.
Stop taking Tylenol. NOW. You're going to destroy your liver.
.
Vasodilitation is thought to cause the headaches, not stop them.

Causes
Although much about headaches still isn't understood, some researchers think migraines may be caused by functional changes in the trigeminal nerve system, a major pain pathway in your nervous system, and by imbalances in brain chemicals, including serotonin, which plays a regulatory role for pain messages going through this pathway.
During a headache, serotonin levels drop. Researchers believe this causes the trigeminal nerve to release substances called neuropeptides, which travel to your brain's outer covering (meninges). There they cause blood vessels to become dilated and inflamed. The result is headache pain.
Normal doses of tylenol will not harm the liver.

When's the last time you checked your blood pressure? What concerns me is the dizzyness and blurred vision. If you can't get to some clinic to get a checkup, go to a local store where they have those Blood Pressure Testing machines and check your BP.

tylenol combined with advil is a wonder drug. I have migraines, fibromyalgia, restless leg syndrome and a seizure disorder. My pain level is almost always a 10+, I swear by that combination. It's what we give our dental patients for severe pain. It's the equivalent of tylenol with codeine with out the narcotic effect.

right, that's all very well and good and nice and pretty. having been suffering from migraine attacks since i was 12 years old, i have been in treatment and in research for decades. as you can see from that little article you posted, they don't actually KNOW - they only "believe" and "think."
vasodilation is both cause AND cure. so is vasoconstriction. I know this from reading, research, and practice.
secondly, the numbers Why posted for doses of Tylenol he was taking were NOT "normal" doses of Tylenol, PLUS he was taking it all on top of the big dose of Excedrine in the migraine pill he took.

Head is better this morning, still dazed, but very little pain.
Stomach is still mad though, no vommiting, but can still taste the acid.
Thanks everyone for their help!!

very, VERY glad to hear you're doing better as well. I'm with Bio - do see if you can check your blood pressure somewhere today, and keep up with the low-salt crackers and electrolytes.

I will go for a blood pressure test here in a bit, there is a walmart about a block away that has a machine to get tested....
On a sad note, the headache is back. I have not taken any medicine today, just water, food, and a gatorade.

you could be suffering from re-bound headache from all of the meds. Kind of like when people try to detox from caffine.
Get the bloodpressure checked. Go to the ER with all the the complaints you had/have. With your past head injury and now symtoms of a concussion
they will be interested in getting to the bottom of this.

With a previous head injury you might want to see if you can get in with a neurologist. Something else could be causing your dizziness and nausea. So could a sinus infection.
Please go see someone. You could try to make payment arrangements.
Good luck
We will be thinking about you.

Remember there is "Tylenol" (acetaminophen) in Excedrin and most other OTC migraine medications. You may not feel it today but you may cause liver damage that will cause you trouble down the road
taken from MedicineNet.....
For the average healthy adult, the recommended maximum dose of acetaminophen over a 24 hour period is four grams (4000 mg) or eight extra-strength

[hr]
. (Each extra-strength pill contains 500 mg and each regular strength pill contains 325 mg.) A person who drinks more than two alcoholic beverages per day, however, should not take more than two grams of acetaminophen over 24 hours, as discussed below. For children, the dose is based on their weight and age, and explicit instructions are given in the package insert. If these guidelines for adults and children are followed, acetaminophen is safe and carries essentially no risk of liver injury.
On the other hand, a single dose of 7 to 10 grams of acetaminophen (14 to 20 extra-strength tablets) can cause liver injury in the average healthy adult. Note that this amount is about twice the recommended maximum dose for a 24 hour period. In children, a single dose of 140 mg/kg (body weight) of acetaminophen can result in liver injury. Amounts of acetaminophen, however, as low as 3 to 4 grams in a single dose or 4 to 6 grams over 24 hours have been reported to cause severe liver injury in some people, sometimes even resulting in death.

A couple of years ago I had a bad toothache and started taking 1500mg tylenol every 4, aspirin every 4 and motrin every 6 around the clock for a month. Then I really started feeling ill and eventually ended up in the ER heaving blood from a bleeding ulcer and having elevated liver function tests from all the tylenol.
But I understand where you are coming from... I'm a pediatric nurse who use to see alot of tylenol ingestions, totally understood the risks... but the pain at the time threw logic out the window.

glad to hear it, Why.

....if u get it again though, please get urself checked out. with history of head injury you could be dealing with some serious stuff that could be easily thwarted by a visit to the Doc or a trip to the E.R.

Yeah I'm starting to recover from pneumonia which started saturday morning for me and hit its peak tuesday at 2am when I was at 104F and finally called the EMS on my self... After not being able to sleep from ridiculously fevers and chills, I had to get help lol. Today is the first day I haven't had a fever at all! Chest is still sore from the infection and coughing.
I'd recommend that you keep up with the electrolytes, water, food, and SLEEP. SLEEP is going to be the biggest factor for you and don't drink AT ALL for awhile. Are you addicted to caffeine by chance?
