Heat in the tank

How hot does it have to get to be bad for inverts and such in a tank? I am cycling now, but I'm trying to prepare for the future. My temp can get up to 85 during the day and that's with my air running most of the time. I am running 2x250watt MH and 4x110 actinics. I have two 3" fans pulling heat out of canopy, but it still gets hot. It's a 105 gallon tank. The temp doesn't fall much during the night that I see it stays around 83. I have approximately 1300 gph flow in the tank. 8oogph provided by 2 emperor 400s, so there is plenty of air/water exchange. Any suggestions or am I just gonna have to save up for a chiller. It sure does seem hot especially if I want to keep some sps or xenias.
Thanks

Try blowing the fans into the canopy. It forces more cooler air into the canopy. Works better that way and is the opinon of the majority here.

Depending on the origin of the coral you plan to house 83 - 85F sounds perfect.
The temperature fluctuation are what need to be avioded so if 85 is your max make sure it doesn't get below 82 and it would be best if you only let if fall slightly say 84.
Xenia love consistency.
I've found that coral grow and spread fastest around 83 so that's where I keep my temp.

I want to keep somes sps, xenia and zoanthids. I don't care too much for lps. I have some xenias in my smaller tank, but the temp never gets above 83 and they seem to do fine. I just don't want to push the xenia over the edge even though they would get much more light in the new tank. Anyone know about sps temp ranges? I will turn the fans so they push in and I just got a clip on fan from wally world to blow over the top of the water. The temp maxes out at 85, but I only have the MH on for 3 hours now with the vho's on for eight. I would like to eventually have the VHO's on for 10 and the MH for 8. I think the temp is just gonna climb even more. I have been trying to find a used chiller, but they are hard to come by. Thanks for the responses and keep any ideas coming.

My tank used to reach 82 during the day. During a heat wave last year, it went up to 84 and my Xenia melted away. I bought a new central air unit since then, but I used to use a clip on desk fan to cool off the tank. I would just slide over the light, clip it on the edge and blow it directly on the surface of the water. You have to replace alot of water doing this, but evaporation is a great cooling method. My heater actually couldn't keep up with it.

dont sweat about it my tank stays mostley at 86 degrees and i raiase xenias star polyps everything seems fine so far even tho people told me taht xenias need really cool temperture. My tank is 86 and sometimes 88 at night it gets down to 82 thats basically but in my opinion i think rapid temperture change is the thing that causes corals to perish
