My favorite town is Port Douglas, just North of Cairns.
Australia has 9 deadly venomous snakes (i believe), deadly sea snail, deadly octopus, 2 deadly spiders Great Whites, and 20 foot salt water crocs. Oh, and don't forget the big mean freakin bird that can gut you with a kick (cuasawari)
I suspect this is why the people are so nice to each other. They gotta team up against the entire freakin continent.

You are forgetting the deadly box jelly fish that you can barely see. Saw it on Discovery the other night

Heres a Pic of the largest spider in the world. The goliath bird eating tarantula.We had one at the petshop I worked at but it was only half its full size(around 13" is full size):
