Watch that closely . Any increase in redness, pain, warmth or swelling you need to seek medical help.

yea, i'm watching it every couple hours. it wasn't that white earlier, so i musta cleaned it out really well. i've pretty much emptied a whole packet of triple antibiotic onto it. i'll let it dry out a little later on.

I cut off the tip with a razor blade once does that count.
Also my dad ran he hand through a snow blower. Now that left a mark.
That does look kinda nasty did you peroxide it?
Definately watch for infection. and letting it get air is also a good idea

yea, i peroxided it this morning, dont have any at home.
i think it looks more nasty in that pic cause its on a camera phone.
the little flap though is completely white, so i know it is gonna fall off.
problem is it keeps going into the deep cut :( i'm hoping the cut doesnt heal with it in there. i may have to cut it off.

Peroxide is like putting carbonated water on a cut. No value. Use betadine.

Forget that... get your buddies over to the house, and then use gasoline, paint thinner, or lighter fluid. No one's gonna think you're cool and manly if you use something like betadine
.

I have you all beat. Six years ago, I had a motorcyle that was chain driven. I put the back tires on the stand to clean the chain. I put the bike in 1st gear and was running the rag over the moving chain. The next thing I know my thumb went through the back sprocket. It happened so fast I didn't even know it happened. I cut 3/4 of my thumb off. Believe it or not I did not lose the finger and I still have feeling. Yes it looks a little messed up. The finger nail doesn't grow right but it is still there thank god.

Its called putting it in neutral and rolling the chain by hand .

got myself really good last night...
i've got three slices in my left index finger :( it's not bleeding much anymore, so i'm hoping i'm not going to need stitches...
this is why I trim my hedges with my weedwacker, the neigbors all think I'm nuts.

ok, so i'm painting the spare bedroom, and notice that i have bled through the bandage.
i figure, ok, time to change the bandage, and clean up a little. i have no hydrogen peroxide in the house, so off to cvs.
i grab a bottle, and up a couple shelves, and to the left, there is some antiseptic spray. i say cool, that probably would help also.
WHO'S THE BRAIN CHILD THAT PUT 21% ALCHOHOL INTO AN ANTISEPTIC SPRAY THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FOR CUTS/SCRAPES????????????
omg, that hurt worse than getting the finger in the hedge trimmer.
