Hello and Intro

Hello all, It is not very often that I sign up for a forum. Even less often do I post comments. That being said, I am Mark from the NYC area, I am a big fan of SaltwaterFish.com and have purchased a ton of stuff from the site over the last 3-4 months - basically the reason for selecting this forum over all the others. I have about 5 years experience in the hobby however the last tank I had was a 75g 10 years ago. A few months back I jumped back in full stride, It is amazing what 10 years has done. From both the entry point/cost to set up a tank (it is MUCH cheaper and many more options to make it lets say "somewhat economical") and of course the vast amount of information. I think one of the things that made me give up on it 10 years ago was simply paying someone to maintain was too much money and good advice wasnt always close by. So for those of you that are very new, meaning you are on your first ever saltwater/reef tank consider yourself really lucky! As nice as some of the petshop / LFS people are I always felt like I went in to be sold something anytime I had a problem. Now, you research online, tell them whats up make a few suggestions and you are that much more informed to help them help you solve your problem. So this is my thank you to all of you who filled these forums for the last 10 years! Incredible source of information.
My tank is 75gallon (not the tank from 10 years ago, thats probably in a landfill on staten island) with a 29gallon refugium. It has been stable for just under 6 months now. I have about 60lbs of crazy purple covered coraline live rock in the display and about 20lbs in the refugium. I have a 3-4inch sandbed and some chaeto and bugs. In both the display and the fuge i have a bunch of snails, in the display i have 4 emerald crabs, bunch of hermits a few cleaner clams and a clam that came with my live rock which one day i realized was staring at me and it freaked me out big time!
I have a couple blastomussa, hammer, trumpet, Favia 2 brain and one brain maze depending on who you are talking to. Tons of Zoas, Tons of Paly's, Lobos, Green, Blue and Red Mushrooms, Ricordea, Colt, Chili, Star Polyps and a big toadstool
For fish, Blue Hippo, Yellow Tang, Foxface, Purpleback Psuedo and a Pearl eyed clarkii clown.
I have a purple tip sebae anemone, I have a green bubble tip. BOTH of which my Clarkii has claimed as his home. I have had 2 (really 3) casualties since cycle, first was a pair of clowns that I bought on impulse from ***** - I believe they had the clown disease and the other was the clarkii I bought with the the clarkii currently in the tank. That clarkii was the smaller of the 2 and the current clarkii just had it out for him from day one. When the smaller clarkii hosted the sebae anemone, the larger had staked claim to the bubble tip. Soon it became a territory thing. This clown is a real jerk, I have caught him grabbing shrimp and swimming them to the seabae, luckily they got away.
Anyway, 10 years older, much wiser thanks to forums like this and a bigger budget, I had my system up and cycled/stable within a month - thanks to a professional set up with their water and fresh from the LFS live rock. I couldnt be more thrilled to be reefing in my home office everyday!
