I once made a trip from Williamstown, NJ to Buffalo, New York then all the way to Beaumont, Texas. That was a long trip and my father got very lost and took us very far off track.

I would LOVE to live in the country, in fact, my wife and I were planning on it for a long time there for awhile, but I'm going to have to live in a city for the next 9 years till I get my doctorate. Even then, I'll probably live pretty close to the college I want to teach at. I love the country - being away from people, cars, police and ambulance sirens, etc. etc. I love growing my own food (which I already do) and living off the land. But, right now it's just a day to day struggle to survive, until something better comes along...

living off the land ? lol i live out in the country but i dont go out in the back of the property to shoot dinner . the nearest home depot is 35-40 minutes .
when i first got out this way it was a long ride to anywhere but you get used to it pretty fast.its worth every mile and sure as hell costs less to live here than in the city or suburbs.

SWF buddies? Oh come on...... this sounds like one of those well.........Lol... you know something, I have no idea what this sounds like. LMAO!!!
I guess I'm lucky, my wife and I both have our own tanks and meet up with people at the LFS and gab about our little critters and tanks. And her and I admire each others tanks and swap ideas back and forth.

My wife only has a passing interest in aquaria. As long as it makes money, she doesn't care. The only people that I can really share my passion with is online friends and such. I wish there was a local reef club that I could attend.

Ask your LFS about a reef club? Most if not all areas have one. (Not to be confused with "Reefer" club) hahahaa
