Yep, water changes is the way to go.
Have you figured out how it got this high? Are you buffering anything?

High alk is sometimes caused by not mixing up your salt water for long enough....do you mix it up for a minimum of 24+ hrs.?
Test the alk of your mix up water.....

Are you doing the test correctly? There are both a high and low resolution test.

Your alk is normal for your calcium level.

I would say it is a tad high. Any higher and it will not be an ideal level. While his dkH is only at 12 right now, any higher and it would be out of the 8-12 range that you would like to keep it. Better to act first than to need to react, in my opinion.

Please, correct me if I am wrong...
Kalk maintains the RATIO of alk and calcium. However, it does raise both calcium and alkalinity.

I disagree.... The alk 11.8 is on the low side. But, I say to leave it alone.
For near NSW, you can use this formula:
((ppm cal / 40) -9) * 2 = alk level in meq/L
Therefore,
[(460/40)-9] * 2 = 5 meq/L = 14 dkH
