No. There are several animals with long stringy feeding tentacles. All of them are harmless (actually beneficial).
When you get the opportunity to feed your Carpet, sticky tentacles, feed it a LOT... I mean a real lot. If you can find whole Lancefish that would be ideal. A couple times a week you should be taking the time to feed it as much as it will eat. This is natural to this animal. As a school of baitfish swim by they can catch 10 - 20 of them in one feeding.
