he is going to die if you dont do something. You have Trites and ammonia. Those will flat out kill a fish. Take water from your main tank. I would do a 100% water change asap.

use it. Its better than nothing. do you have powerheads in there? Your tank is going through a full blown cycle. I was worried about this. You are going to need to check water params twice daily. Once when you wake up and once when you get home IMO. Do large daily water changes. I would add more curred live rock to it.
Id almost be willing to throw him in the main tank and risk it at this point. Those trites are scary high and any fish ina cycling tank is never good.

So if I were to put him in the main tank, right now, how should I do it-?

Nitrites that high will kill it pretty fast. I would put the fish in the DT ASAP! If your readings are the same (salinity, pH), you can just put it in the DT. It's certainly better than leaving it in the QT at this point.

Ok Pete, I will start right now. How should I do the process -? Drip -? If so, how long-? After the water change, he's doing much better, swimming around and stuff. I am pretty sure the levels got so high, because of some uneaten food I found inbetween the rocks

I would still do a drip, much faster than the one you did initially...For the record, I agree with Pete, get him to the DT.
Good luck

Hey Kirk ! What a mess I have here. Everything was going so good, maybe it was my fault, last night I tried a couple of foods for him, silversides, squid, large mysis, and still no luck. But he did took a few bites out of the formula 1 and 2 cubes. So I guess I have no choice, but to put him in the DT. How long should I drip him-? 45 mins-?

Yep , i did. Maybe an hour ago. He swims around a little, then goes back and hides behind the rocks. He's not as active as before. I wonder if the bad water parameters, affected him bigtime-?

He can recover. Have you decided to add him to the DT? I think that is your best option unless you visibly see something on him at this time.

Sep ! Thanks for the reply ! I am going to add him to the DT. I''m not risking this guy at all. He looked great since day one, so I basically QT him for a week and a day. Nothing on him, just picky with his foods. But after its all said and done, what is the lesson I should have learned after all of this is over-?

Sometimes I see him breathing through one gill and sometimes he breaths through both. Is that a problem-?
