I recieved a couple of pieces of rock and these came with it. Please help id because i have no clue. On the second picture it just looks like some kind of clear jelly, in the first picture id on the "orange" thing please. Thanks in advance!

the orange thing is definantly a mushroom coral and the second looks like some kind of ricordia or mini carpet anemone or something, im sure someone will be able to give you a more difinitive answer on that one

Did the rock in the 1st pic come with all that Hair algae? YIKES
On the 1st rock a mushroom, kenya tree, and clove polyps (or xenia..do they pulse)
The second pic looks like a ricordia mushroom to me too....

yes unfortunately they came with the hair algea and i cleaned them as well as i felt comfortable without disturbing the xenia and the orange mushroom. I am trying to get rid of the hair algea and am winning the battle as of right now. But just not sure what i have on those rocks...... yes the xenia pulse very nicely dont have any kenya tree though... :(

OOPS...sorry...I was looking at the shriveled up stuff in the back....I guess that is just shriveled xenia...LOL

looks like an orange mushroom or small sponge.. hard to see with the one pic.
The other looks more like an anemone than anything. Possibly an unhappy rock anemone.

2 looks like a mini carpet anemone to me also, you can try feeding it some mysis and see if it grabs and eats it.

i will see if i can get it to grab the mysis. if i can keep my darn pesty domino damsel from attacking me or the little guy in question.

If you can....catch the damsel, and give it away.....take my word for it.....they are people eaters

Yes i got the rock from another tank. Benefit of living in a military town is that people PCS (pack up and leave) all the time and dont want to take fish or rock with them. That damsel is the worste pet i have ever had! he attacks my hand everytime i put it in there. I am planning on getting rid of him next week! He has got to go! I got a STEAL on the rock and a fish.

Well i took a couple more pics and not sure if they help any on the identity but here they are. Along with my new arsenal for the algea, he has been going at it since i put him in hours ago!
