help my anemone is turning brown

i have a 36 gallon corner tank with a 250 watt MH just bought a purple tip anemone and the tentacles are turning a brown color? is this normal? is my lighting too strong?

i dont know much about anemones but i do know we'll need your water parameters to help you out. and how far is the anemone from the light?

That is normal coloring for an anenomie. If it starts turning white is when you should worry.

The anemone is at the bottom of the tank. what are water parameters?

it was white with purple tips when i bought it. the gentleman in the shop said to feed it once a week with frozen shrimp, is this enought?

You're lucky. Many bleached Anemone don't ever recover. They're not supposed to be white.
