well, is it male or female? I'm inclined to think male but I can't be 100% sure with this colour mutation.
Does it sound male or female?
Kiwi could be either. I'd go with that if you're not sure.
I like Speckles - but it's not on the list
edit: I saw another pic of him/her on another thread and now I really don't know what --- it is.
youll need to look on the underside of the wing and count the visible bars at the end of the wine in this color mutation I dont remember but I think 4 indicate a male I will see if I can find the reference for it tomorrow though.
I have a grey male named birdie bird. The neices named him that whistles andy and mayberry and the wolf whistle and many other sounds. Also a very vocal bird usually indicates a male in cockateils.
Mike
I want my cockateil again!! Ours died because it tried to fly across the room, and ended up hitting the pointy corner of a glass dining room table, and cutting itself open. It died before we could get it to the hospital.
Name it Tookie!

I really like Sophie which is strange because I usually don't like "people" names on pets.

The groomer that clipped it's wings said she thought it was a boy but couldn't be sure.
How can you tell by it's chirps?
