Help...What are these fuzzy white tubes...

We have these fuzzy white tubes growing all through our tank...On the glass and the live rock...can't seem to find pictures anywhere that will tell me what they are and if they are harmful or how big they get . The first pic is of the larger ones they are standing straighting up and blow in the current. The second pic is them very small all over the glass..(white specs)
Please help

the ones on the glass are different looking.do they move around .if so they are pods .also good to have

if you run your tank long enough (years) and have bought lr .you will always be finding new things 99% of the time they are good things.get yourself a flashlight and some red cellophane and look in the tank at 2 am .you will really be surprised at what you see
