ok i got a question... tobins ex had a baby with a drug dealer within a year of tobin and her splitting up. i just found out that someone has been in contact with her and that her baby was born blind, i hate to hear that about the poor baby it doesnt deserve it but, his ex is apparantly trying to sue the doctor that delivered the baby
she smoked weed and cigarettes and did lines and drank while she was pregnant . the father of the baby was/is a dealer, i am not exagerrating on this ! there was always coke and clouds of weed and paraphanalia layed out all over their apartment before they took off for michigan.
some doctor who is probably completly innocent might lose his liscense over something she more than likely caused
i really need to know what i should do ... does anyone know who i need to get ahold of like some medical board people or what

CRIMZY...Where are you???

WOW...that is one heck of a dilemma...I am not sure where I would start either.....I have some legal friends...I'd probably go to them first and get some advice...

Jenny,
Are you being pulled into this or are you expecting too? I'm not sure I would worry about it if I were you. I'm sure the doctor's lawyer will do a thorough job investigating what they are up against. They do that full time pretty much. I'm sure Crimzy will have a lot better advice.

Go over there and get all the weed and blow and "dispose" of in a timely fashion, and then leave them alone. It's none of your business

i know we got crimzy (law) and a few doctors on board here. i wanna know what the medical peeps would want someone(in my position) to do if it were a case against them. she doesnt care about anyone but herself she never has and i know she has no problem lying about her drug use

It would be hard to prove such a case, and the parents will be in the spotlight. Hair follicle tests will exonerate the innocent and prosecute the guilty.

I am suprised the hospital didnt run a drug screen on the baby and mother,
especially if the baby was born with problems.

Jenn, Relax, the doctor will not be harmed or lose his license.
They need to PROVE the doctor had something to do with the affliction of the baby. Typical story and typical results. Dirtbags have a knack for showing thier colors when you dig even an inch below the surface. There will be no case.
As much as I hate saying it, a little "weed" or drinking during a pregnancy will NOT cause adverse effects. Sure it is a bad idea but really not uncommon. As for the harder drugs, you have not actually seen anything.
Relax and keep yer yap shut, rumors are nasty and regurgitating such strong statements with nothing behind them is irresponsible. If they press a case, then they also get investigated as to legitimize such a claim. This is where the dirtbag part ALWAYS comes into it.

.
I kinda disagree with this, Drinking can have a huge effect of the baby-fetal alcohol syndrome is nothing to sneeze at. Also any type of drug can cause learning disabilities and if used at an early stage of pregnancy can cause birth defects.

Yes of course. None of it is to be endorsed as good for a pregnancy, but a drink or two will not hurt.
Like I said above, I hate that it is true. I wish I could gasp and preach about how even a single drop will be detrimental to mother and child. How outraged I am that an expecting mother would do such a thing. Honestly it is just not the case. I do not endorse expecting mothers to endulge in ANY drug or drinking but I really do not see it as cause to sound an alarm in this particular situation.
I adore Jenn, She knows this. I do think she is misguided in her attention to this particular situation's severity.

My wife has been involved in med malpractice issues for the last 22 or so years. TRUST ME, the doc will be well represented. They would have to be able to show where the doc did something to cause the problems. I am sure the hospital ran a bunch of tests to try to determine what caused the problems.
