What causes pH to drop real quickly? And what can I do to bring it up gradually and keep it around 8.2 to 8.3. Right now it is down to 7.8 and the only problem that has happened in this tank is I ordered a flower anemone and it never opened up and finally noticed it was dead. Could this have caused a problem in my tank? It could have been dead for 2 days. All other params are normal. This isnt my tank I am posting for my sister, so other threads I have posted doesnt go with this.

The tank has been up for 9 months and has had no other problems. I know they use powerheads with a wavemaker and a filter. They have the lighting needed for anemones as well. But what should they do about it?
