Help with phosphates

I've been fighting green hair algae for months now. My phospates are high, despite keeping up with water changes. The green hair seems to grow on any part of the rock that doesn't have corraline growing. Also the green algae grows on my sand bed and on the walls of the tank. Anyway, i've heard about denitryfing bacteria can help suck up the phosphates, but I'm not sure what exactly that means. What do I buy and how does it work?

Check your source water for phosphates and while your at it for nitrates also. Is it your own RO/DI unit or do you buy from store?

I run with Phosphate bags in my filter and it really helped. Also Emerald crabs are great at getting rid of it.:D
