help with salinty

my salinty is high like 1.030 i tried adding a bit of freshwater but salinty looks like it just staid the same ( yes i did take out about the same of saltwater)

LOL....You have a 29G....so w/o knowing what you did....do MAYBE 1 gallon....wait a while...test.....
The important thing is to not change the salinity too fast....
after changing the 1, see how much it changed.....depending on that will depend on what you do next....maybe do another gallon before bed.....

First you do not want a drastic change...do a little at a time....
It's ok if you decrease fast, but it's not ok to increase fast.

i did less than a galon maby about a galon but i put chlor out in water to dechlorify it says its good for saltwater and freshwater. it says it works instantly but i like it to sit to get the temp right. how do u get it dechlorified?

It's going to take gallons to affect it, not just simple top offs
I didn't want him to do it all at once.....

I don't.
I use RO/DI water.

i know what ro stands for but what does di stand for bcause i dont think ro units dechlorify do they??

RODI= reverse osmosis/deionization. The deionization gets it down to 0ppm. Straight RO will not do that. Yes, a proper RO will dechlorinize. Depends on the membrane. Plus if it has a carbon cartridge it will help rid the water of chlorine.

can u give link of a good one that dechlorifies for under 150 because ima buy one very soon i dont like chor out i only have it cause when i had my beta wich was in a bowl i know now betas should have a tank and a filter but we changed his water all the time and kept him kllean.

5 stage has di i think il get that one its faster and u know im impatient lol
but i know i have to stop because like nisan always says patience is the key to this hoby
