what are your parameters? whats the temp. of the tank? what have you done since yesterday to your tanks?

Hi,
I put in new seaweed for the tangs.

temp 81.1
nitrates <10
ph 7.8
Alk 8
phospate 0
I am very concerned. I have not been able to find one of my lyetails and pink anthisas, and my purple filamenta(sp). I am at a total loss as to what is going on and my LFS closed for today to get more fish.

I added three bangels one week ago, which I had in the QT for 4 weeks. All were fine until yesterday.
I have loss:
2 bangles
1 lyertail anthethis
1 pink anthethis
1 bicolor blennie
I used seachem ph to raise that up and this morning it tested at 8.3.
My sailfin still has the black marks and the clownfish look slimey still but nothing else has died.
I am however very concerned over my chormis mouth. He can not close it. Should I give him a few more days or but him out of suffering.
My water has been mixing for almost 13 hours and I will do a water change of 15 gallons. I am filling up my brute with RODI water to do another water change in a few days.

Just curious, on the tang the spots seem sort of black. I know there is a black tang disease that commonly affects tangs. If the spots move around it could be the black tang disease.
I tend to feed my tang formula 2 flake food.
If the black stuff is the parasites, then the fishes may try to rub against rocks to remove it.

If your clown fish have white stuff all over them, that could be something stripping away skin or mucus, do they scratch against any rocks at all?

Thank You for replying. The remaining fish are not scratching anything.

well.. there is a thing called black ich.. i think thats the term.. but basically instead of the ich spots being white they are black..
that could be what your tang had/has because tangs are very tolerable to ich.. unfortuneately
