I sold a friend the stuff from my old tank, in that was my beautiful red open brain. I continplated on keeping it but decided to let it go and kee the GSP instead.
Tonight they invited me over to see everything in their tank (125 gal). They have been asking me previous to this visit about the brain, it was not doing well.
Well tonight I want to sit down and cry, something I believe has been eating it but what??
Some of the red that should be folded over the skeletal area is missing but not all of it. Quite shriveled up and not looking so good.
What are the chances of me nursing this back to health??
I can post a picture tomorrow as my lights are out for the night and I just put it into the tank.
I have a 1 gal so something in there has to go or be moved but I am just sick as it was beautiful when I had it so full, lovely color and I fed it all the time.
They have: Clown fish, chromis, yellow tang, freckle hawkfish (like the purple one on the saltwater.com hawkfish area) and another type of long goby. While I was sitting there I did hear a clicking sound too.
The Hawkfish is quite large and is always in the area that the brain was so I don't know if it was him or not.
What usually would eat an open brain??
