Help!!!!

Hey SWF members i'm having a problem with my hydrometer i have the instant ocean Hydrometer it won't read my salt levels or gravity it just its the needle guard at the top if anyone has any tips please i'd appreciate it . Thanks

Throw it away and get a refractometer
I went threw 3 hydrometers they are garbage....sorry

Appreciate the recommendations ...another thing is is there a good way of changing the salinity and gravity in my water

hypothetically lower since i'm not sure whats the actual reading of the level in my tank.

can you take your water to a lfs to have it tested? I wouldn't make any changes until I had the salinity tested.
Do you use ro/di?
To lower it, I would remove some tank water and replace it with fresh (preferable ro/di)
