The only time I've seen agrssion from my largest holloween was towards me when it jumped on my finger when doing tank maintenence..
I also have scarlets and blue legg hermis.. THEY ARE ALL REEF SAFE! PROVIDE THEM WITH SHELLS AND NOTHING GOES MISSING!

Never heard of a "halloween" doing this if the damsel was alive, what a lot of people do is confuse halloweens with "Hawaiians" including LFSs and websites, they are vicious little buggers those hawaiians!

some LFS also call the ones you call halloween hermits, electric orange,
Some call the one you call hawaiian, halloween.
its all pretty confusing, but I am looking for the electric orange and blues. but none to be found.

next time your at you LFS asks for electric oranges then, usually LFSs are able to get anthing from their suppliers you just have to make the order.

mine are the same way! and now they're huge (in large turbo snail shells) I'm about two seconds away from gifting them to my LFS and getting little mexican reef hermits, they never bother anything or anyone.

so a more accepted opinion would be that blue legs are LESS reef safe than other hermits?
out of curiosity how many would recommend a CUC of all snails and no crabs?
let the hair pulling begin

LOL, in all honesty, my crabs are lazy. They spend more time killing each other than actually cleaning anything in the tank. My snails do actually clean.

I got a 125 with about 150 lbs or rock (giv or tak)
i think i have 10 blue legs and i bet 3 times a week or more I break up fights
its 125 freakin gallons guys.... cant we all get along????
maybe i need to get a tank with 8 more corners

Get the blue legs when they are tiny, let them grow into your tank as apposed to throwing in a bunch of behemoths

:-( Mine were small - a year ago. I guess feasting on snails and all other hermits makes the grow faster, LOL.
I'm jealous that yours clean, mine sleep or fight, that's it.
