Dont you guys think there should be a filter. skimmer formula. People always have questions about tpyes of skimmers and which one to get.

Filter/skimmer formula=...
You need a filter (or some filtration system)... and you need a skimmer (best you can afford).
There you have it!! I think we can all agree on this formula. Well, all of us except those that don't.

The formula for a skimmer has been long established, it goes like this:
The required skimmer is directly proportionate (sp) to the amount of discretionary (sp) dollars you have at your disposal.
In other words, I agree with Tizzo, buy the best you can afford.

I'll go with that. A filter equivalent to whatever sandbed you want + a skimmer costing 2X the cost of the tank.
