High Nitrite

How do I bring the nitrite level down in my tank before it gets to high. it is just out of normal range, but I don't want to developw a problem.

your level of nitrIte will go down via the nitrogen cycle... just let nature take its course...

55 gallon starter tank with only liverock right now

how long is it setup, how did you start your cycle?

started the tank with just water and salt mix and crushed coral, I am adding live rock now

Should have went with the live sand instead of the CC, It will help immensely with your nitrates and bio-load.

got a 40 lb bag on order or is that to much? and what about acclimating live rock, can I do a salt water dip and add to tank since my tank is still in the setup process?

My nitrite is too high too. My cycle was complete a week ago, but now it seems like it is bouncing back after adding the LR.

Adding the live rock probably started the cycle over again. Just wait it out.

As long as I am just adding LR and LS until I get my tank set completely, I should be ok???????
