My hippo had ick from stress when I first put her in the tank. I lasted a couple weeks. Then it went away. But, there is medication for that as well if it just doesn't go away. I heard blue hippo tend to get ick easily.

Ok everybody I know what I am talking about with my story and I know what ick is. My Hippo had white dots or specks all over her when I put her in the tank after I picked her up from the local fish store. Now, was it ick…..May or May not. But, when you see white dots or specks all over one of your new fish after putting it in the tank. The average person is going to think that fish has ick. I didn’t have to treat the tank. I just have one cleaner shrimp and started feeding everybody Selcon with the other foods I put in the tank along with seaweed sheet. So , take it what it’s worth. But, I am getting told I don’t know what I am talking about or what ick is. Instead, of “oh you mean _____ (fill in the blank), instead of ick because you would have to treat for ick."?

well I have never seen it since the blue tang had it. So I haven't been worrying about it. I am sure its just inactive until one day I something is going wrong and it just wants to come out and add to my frustrations. But, I don't know. I just figured it worked its way out I guess or the fish are just healthy help fight it for the time being. Not sure.
