HLLE Clarification

You may want to stock up on different algae sheets. I had been feeding mine the green sheets (ocean vegetables, regular nori etc) and a month ago ordered red and brown sheets too and I alternate those on daily basis. The red one is by far their favorite and a nice size chunk is gone in under 5 minutes between a large FoxFace, Hippo and Yellow Tangs, Bellus Angel and even my Wrasse goes for it.

Is there a specific brand to buy, or can any probe work?
I have these:
- Julian Sprung's Sea Veggies
- Sally's Seaweed Salad (brown marine algae)
- Sally's Seaweed Salad (Red marine algae)
- regular nori from your grocery store

Do your fish have ich?
NO, I was not going to treat for ich, I was just browsing thru a site and read that this can be used as a "Prevention" for ich and some other diseases.
I don't know if you read my earlier posts..when I first got my raccoon butterfly a few weeks ago it had lymphocystosis.....Well I did what was suggested and the raccoon no longer has it...as a matter of fact this raccoon steals food from my hands when I feed my ray, and is a very playful and seemingly happy fish....anyway, I now notice what looks like a "lympho" spot on my copperband (they came together by the way). So I am going to continue what I have been doing....Unless you have other suggestions.
I ordered my grounding probe last night too.

It's a bummer to see someone who goes this far to provide their fish with excellent meals and the fish still develop HLLE.

Lymphocystis requires no medication. The addition of vitamins to the food as well as a balanced diet and pristine water parameters are all that is needed.

Is it something that can go from fish to fish?
It is a viral infection and is contagious but if the other fish are healthy and have a high immune system then the chances of them getting it are slim.
