horse shoe crab.. good or bad idea?

i bought 3 horse shoe crab since i bought some blennies and my lion fish ate them ...
i got them so they can go through the sand and turn my sand around and get the left overs from the feedings of the other fish
WHAT YOU GUYS THINK?
180 gallon, fish only, live rock and live sand

Why would the horseshoes be detremental to a live sand bed? I think they're great, as long as nothing in the tank wants to eat them. They do everything you suggest, they turn over the sand, and they eat leftovers. They don't eat bacteria, worms, or other live critters, so they're not a threat to a live sand bed.
