Please tell me you at least have AC.

oh yes!! Pretty standard around here. We turned ours on awhile back when the humidity kicked in after all the rain. Then heat back on, then AC back on. We play at the neighborhood pool everyday. I never get out too hot. Concrete so hot you could fry and egg.

AK's ways to beat the heat;

At the beach Friday, fishing Saturday, at the creek Monday, and we're going diving/collecting tomorrow. Trying to get activities in before the oil gets here

I guess I am trying to tan the white out of me

May I suggest while your waiting for that tan to consider a spray tan.
Where were you snorkling there? I hear the oil has already reached Dolphin Island. I fear that more than we expect is on the way.
100 degrees is hot but 98 with 100% humidity is a biotch!

It seems the more I work in an office the more the heat affects me when it gets so hot outside. The pool is still comfortable right now but I hate when the pool passes that temp where it's not so refreshing anymore.
Plus the heat wreaks havoc on my ac bill!!! I hate $500 electric bills!!!!

its been over 95 here for the last week.my home a/c went out last friday and just got fixed yesterday. i have been adding blocks of ice to my tanks for 4 days.a/c is now back on and my tanks survived.they got up to 85 at one point.
close to 100 today,just got home from pouring and stamping a concrete patio.i would rather have the 100 degrees with 30% humidity here then back in buffalo 80 with 80% humidity.

We were at Orange Beach Friday, Perdido jetty Sat. Today was eastern Pensacola. No smell/oil in Pensacola yet, but boy it was a ghost town driving down today. Yea, I heard the oil rolling in Dauphin island today as well.

I don't think a lot of people realize just how wide spread this oil DISASTER is.....

glad I have a pool....oh, and I am thankful that my livelihood does not count on fishing on the coast. I have to say....all the fisherpeople I have been seeing on the news (I get out of LA) You are all in my prayers.....along with all the life we are going to lose in the ocean.....:(
