House humidity?

I bought a dehumidifer, and was wondering what is a good relative humidity to set it on
It can be set as low as 35% up to 80%
Right now I have it on 55%....

Sorry meowzer like to help you out, but here in Illinois we humidify our homes not dehumidify. Thanks for the help on the fish food.

Not sure about the actual percentages, but since we had the twins my wife and I have been keeping the house warmer at night and I just had to go get a few humidifiers for the nursery and my master bedroom. I was waking up very, very dry and my wife said my snoring was off the chart. Since putting the humidifier in my bedroom the snoring has stopped.
I think you can just go by whatever feels comfortable to you and if you start to wake up feeling really dry or get a nosebleed you need to raise the humidity a little.

Somewhere around 35% is what I have always heard but I think that was concerning hardwood flooring.

"For best indoor comfort and health, a relative humidity of about 45% is ideal."
