The Yankees may indeed be the best team money can assemble...But....the Cards are the team....hands down....year in and year out...baseball the old fashion way.

Hey NM.....weather pending Monday night we may have access to the field at batting pratice. Pray for good weather in STL about 5-6 pm. If my 9 year old is on the same ground as Big Albert.......I don't know.....the world may shift a smidge for the better.
Pics for sure !!!
Not to highjack....how is your shoulder??

Die hard BoSox fan here! The Yankmees keep trying to buy a team, but they never get it. Chalk it up to the Evil Empire. Have to say the Mets look pretty solid this year though. At least by the numbers.

Sounds like a thrill of a lifetime. The shoulder is better....see the physical therapist three times a week and this Wednesday I see my specialist again.
I also want to mention that foul language is not tolerated on this site. Its bad enough to proudly be a Yankee fan but please refrain from foul language on top of it.

wouldn't really call it choking.......at least we make it that far. As a fan who was at that WS, it didn't bother me at all. Yes it would be nice to go all the way, but the thrill is BEING there !!

we share a season with a group of friends. I would never spend $100 per ticket to a regular game either. Those kind of tickets are a corporate deal usually or family of the players/owners. The average ticket is not too bad. We have 1st base line and did not buy into a PSL for the new stadium. Our tickets are $29 per. We eat before we go or bring in SubWay or similar. We bring our own peanuts and popcorn for the kdis. They will get a soda, then its on the to water I bring in myself. My husband will generally get a beer or 2 pending on the weather.
All in all, its what we do as a family. We can attend more baseball games as a family than some friends of ours can attend in football and hockey for 2 tickets

I pay $35 for 2 tix to see the RedSox! Word. Just wish I could hate the taste of beer...alas it is futile and a perpetual hole in my wallet!

The Mets are the team to care about in New York.

David Wright is a star for the future and Pedro is always entertaining to watch.

The best is going to minor league games. Find a buyout night and get your gen admin tix for free and pay $5/ticket to upgrade to lower box on the 1st baseline. Our local minor league team used to be the farm team for the A's but was bought out by Milwaukee. The Conseco's, McGuire, and Dale Murphey all got their starts here. Beer is only $4.50/20oz draft and the food is decent. Can't beat it for summer entertainment! They really SUCK this year though! lol
