You’d think with a 2006 payroll of $198 million compared to Boston’s $120 million the Yankees would be a few games ahead of Boston and the rest of the league.
Money = Big names not big wins.

Exactly. With as big of a payroll as the yankees have they should win almost every game and be in the world series every year. Boston has a smaller payroll and is still better then the yankees.

it means the players have good agents and the owner is a sucker for agreeing to big contracts.
why do you go to the yankees?
because you can ask for the big $ and you will get it.
damon did the right thing- why play in boston for 4/40 when you can play in ny for 4/52 ?

the astros are my favorite team. red sox come in 2nd. im going to a game at fenway this summer, its gonna be sweet. BTW whats up with brad lidge and all these blown saves.
