Why is it that when you are 22, you want a 32 year old woman, but when you're 32, those 22 year olds are lookin awfully good.

Actually my true advice is to not care about the potential for rejection. If you don't care whether or not you get rejected, then you won't be nervous. Just remember, you can be rejected by 99 girls in a row, but when you get to that 100th girl, it's MAGIC!!

One time I met this girl, I had just turned 18 she was 28. It turns out she was a high school teacher, and she taught some of the same math classes I'd taken at a different school. Which of course made it much more interesting for me. But it did creep her out. So that didn't work out.

No she was from a different state. Met over the summer after I'd graduated. She didn't know how old I was, i find out that she was an upper level math teacher. Calculus, physics, trig ect. And laugh because I'd taken those classes that spring. And didn't let it develop any more than that.

I would have dragged that on... and thrown the "oh you teach that stuff, yeah I took that stuff last semeser" "oh you got a late start?" "nah I'm still a freshman." HAHAHAHA pwned..

You all are already friends right? Don't play games with her or anything like that. Simply ask her to go to lunch with you. It is in the middle of the day, isn't threatening at all, and is sweet. Be yourself and just talk to her one on one. If the chemistry is right then you both will know.

"hey, let's go get some coffee!" you know coffee. go get some with her! u don't have to qualify it, it doesn't have to be "omg will you please go out on a date with me so that we can suss each other out to see whether or not we want to start a long term relationship with one another but i dunno about this whole thing and im kinda nervous anyhow."
...it just has to be "you, me, coffee, when?" that's all. simple!

i havnt seen her yet, i will hopefully see her sunday. she is technologically stupid, and has a cell phone from the early 90's to which she doesnt even know the number for it, so i cant really call her cause she doesnt use her phone. her technological stupidity entertains me because i think its pretty darn funny considering (if she prefers) people can call her Dr. Rachel.
update comes on sunday!
so it just comes down to me being real and building the courage to ask her to have an alcoholic beverage with my company.... ok

The more I think about this...this is crucial to know, because generally one that does not drink looks down upon those that do...not always, but many times they have a very particular reason as to why they do not, and have strong feelings about those that do. Could be touchy, but I am guessing he has done his recon on this one...if not, go for the arbitrary Caramel (love that movie).
