The queen herself will not be hard to catch she is soo fat and slow, so you will just need to find one. It will just be a problem of all the workers who will turn on you to 'God Save The Queen!'

Thats illegal on account of the possibilitie of them being brought to foreign lands creating colonies that can cause trouble in new climates. (think Australia with dung beetles)

Saw it on Arthur, just spill sugar water all of the floor and within 3 seconds, ants will be all over it. My philosophy is, if it works on Arthur, then it must be true.

Put out ant poison. They bring the food back to the queen. You aren't going to catch her. She does not leave the nest, house, hive, whatever ants call it.

We have such a problem with ants this year. I've tried everything. Usually the stuff they bring back to the "nest" works wonders. I think the colony is TOO big cause there is millions. Unfortunately their homebase is not on my property.... I'm trying to track it down but they disappear under a neighbours concrete wall. I hate them SO much... but at least they aren't spiders, earwigs or roaches.

Yep. The name is Terro ant killer 2. It is a small, clear, bottle filled with clear liquid. You squirt a dot on a piece of cardboard. It takes care of sugar ants right quick. Gone.

That's stuff I use!! It's always worked great... after you get over the fact you have to let them feed... ew. I used it all over the place outside.... right in the middle of their path. I could see them loving on it...... but still they are there! There's just so many of them. Were yours as "abundant"?
TX guy....... were yours fire ants by chance?

Mine are on the counter next to the sink. I put that out and they are gone. You do have to let them feed for a bit, but they don't come back until the next year. New batch. I am in NY though. Bugs aren't as bad here.

I have never seen anything like it in my life... I swear their path goes on for miles. But I'm afraid to come and let them spray because
#1 it's not originating from my property so I wouldn't really be getting at the source and
#2 I love my mantis almost as much as I love my lionfish. I'm afraid of spraying for anything.
Maybe I should run a stream of it all around my house in a circle. Thankfully they don't bite like fire ants (I lived in Texas for 10 years.... their ants are hideous but they don't come inside really)
