i use to keep ant farms all the time and the best way to catch a queen from what i have tried is to leave the anthills that go straight into the earth alone those are almost immpossible to catch a queen in.....just go start slipping over big rocks....etc sometimes ants make nests under these things and its alot easier to catch them i hope this helps...usually the tunnel with the most ants will lead you right to the queen....i hope this helps !!!

If your serious. Just get a sprayer fill it up with Ortho set it at 2oz per gallon and water your property. Next spring after you sprayed again. Order some preying mantis and ladybugs. By the time they get to your house you will be ant free and you then release your desired bugs! Either that or get yourself a personal ant eater! Another thought would be those ant eating spiders.... I concur, if it works on Arthur it has to be true...

Ortho is bug killer. Concertrated, you put usually 2oz per gallon. It kills something like 200 different bugs. Basically you Nuke the yard chemically!

I would read up on it but im pretty sure, like NOFISH stated, that if you get a colony one of them will develop into a queen.

Find it.
Exactly what others said..
That is the only way you will ever get it. She never leaves the home.. She eats, sleeps, and pops out babies.. that's it.
We learned all about them in the third grade. I know that the queen has two ant 'guards' that are male, and also have wings.. When she is ready to die.. she kills them.
But true, the only way you will get to her, is to find her yourself.. see where the ants are going after the find food.
Hope she's not behind walls!

if your just trying to kill the colony killing the queen won't stop them. Any random female could take over and become the next queen.
if your trying to find her for an ant farm or something then your only hope is to find one online or dig up the ant colony and look for a really fat ant (if you haven't cut her in half with he shovel).
otherwise she will never leave her 'room'.
