it takes a little time but you smoke the ants out with buring dried cat tails. The ants will think the colony is burning and they will go into panic mode and move the eggs and the queen.

Lol i thought about what i wrote like two hours later and was thinking what if they are only called cat tails on the east coast and the other states were like"sharbait's a sick M-FER to burn cat tails".
but you can use burlap to make a smoker. Some bee keepers here in jersey use burlap to calm the bees down but work with extracting ants and hornets
