IRAQ – THE MEXICAN INVASION AND THE ECONOMY
MoveOn.org has teamed up with John Edwards and other moonbat activist groups to create a public awareness campaign. This $20 million campaign's sole purpose is to promote the perceived link between the war in Iraq and the weakening U.S. economy.
It is being called the Iraq Campaign 2008, and it will include advertising, anti-war events, and lobbying efforts to end the war. There will also be a $750,000 "Bush Legacy Bus" that will tour the country. This bus will have an exhibition of Bush's "greatest hits of the failure of the Bush administration" including the war, Hurricane Katrina, the economy, and healthcare. The bus will stop in front of offices of legislators who supported Bush's policies.
And as for the message ... Elizabeth Edwards says that if the economy is your number one issue when you go to vote, the war should be number one too because there is a connection between the two.
Hold on a minute here. What about illegal immigration? What about the Mexican invasion? How much money are we spending dealing with the millions of illegals that people like MoveOn.org and the Edwards family have welcomed into this country with open arms?
The fact is illegal aliens cost our economy more every year than does the Iraq war. Try $338 billion a year! Here is a series of links to stories that will detail the cost.
$11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year. http://tinyurl.com/zob77
$1.9 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens. http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html
$2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens. http://www.cis.org/articles/200/fiscalexec.html
$12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English! http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...01/ldt.01.html
$17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...01/ldt.01.html
$3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...01/ldt.01.html
30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...01/ldt.01.html
$90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare and Social Services by the American taxpayers.
http://premium.cnn.com/TRANSCIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.html
(Link not active ... was not able to verify this information)
$200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...01/ldt.01.html
The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two-and-a-half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the US. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...12/ldt.01.html
During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroin and marijuana, crossed into the U. S from the Southern border. Homeland Security Report. http://tinyurl.com/t9sht
The National Policy Institute, estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period. http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.o...eportation.pdf
In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin. http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm
'The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million --- Crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants In The United States. http://www.drdsk.com/articles.html#Illegals
Total cost is a whopping... $338 BILLION A YEAR!!!

I read something at work someone put on the lunchroom table today about illegals and immigrants and the way America would soon be taken over and no longer be the America we know it today and what did people think about that.
Guess it would be the second time. The first when Europeans took over and pushed out the Native American and now the fear that people from other lands will do it again. Guess we didn't lock our doors tight enough like the socialist did or the communists. Maybe America could learn from North Korea and lock its boarders to anyone wanting to come in and make a home in the land of plenty.
I say

[hr]
all those thirsty and starving people from other lands. Why should I have to go with less than 1 TV per room, 2 automobiles and go with less then a $6 lunch everyday! And please don't deny me the right to complain about gas prices while sucking down that fresh cup of Cappuccino and donut to go in the morning. Heaven forbid we should allow anyone else to share the wealth.

people who are illegal come here for better a better life rite
but its making it harder for the ones that are here
im from boston mass---irish--- my great grandparents came over wen they were babies legally
what kills me the most is how many illegals come here n commit crimes
people have come here for better lives forever and they come here and help out the nation-- they make it more ecletic-- more influences-- i mean hell the english settlers are the reason why we have the gov't we have today--i would embrace immigrants with open arms if they came legally and come here to help-- illegals just come to ---- our country not to embrace it and not to help it grow

I guess because I see the human race as one even though we live in different contrites and different ethics. Doesn't matter the color, religion or beliefs, I think we are all in this together. I look to something beyond 70 years or however long I am on this planet.

if someone wants a better life for themself, I certainly don't see the problem with expecting them to pay their own way for it. if you come here (or any other country) and expect the already over burdened taxpayers to pay for your healthcare, childcare, childrens' education, and more law enforcement for the boost in population, then you are a detriment, not a benefit. these 12 million or however many who are here illegally are helping the wealthy business owners and politicians, but they are killing the middle class. it's really slavery for the 21st century. I think whatever utopia world you can conjure up is only going to work if everyone pulls their share, and that's not what's happening.
now, there are a lot of factors affecting the economy. illegal immigration and war are certainly 2 of those factors. and though I'm a republican, I sure don't see how one can point a finger at John Edwards without first pointing one at John McCain, because he's the biggest proponent of illegal immigration that there is anywhere.
either way, I see this thread being locked soon.
and just for the road, I see no parallel with comparing something that happened 500 years ago before this country was even charted territory to what is happening now, in our lifetime.

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I suppose everyone is entitled to insults and name-calling. Just part of being alive and liveing with differences of opinion.

Not at all. The name calling will not be allowed. Opinions are always welcome.

Unfortunately people forget history too quickly.
As a Texan, obviously I have a vested interest. My State is one heavily affected.
In the 1800's Spain then Mexico (when the region switched control) gave land grants and allowed US citizens to immigrate into Texas and claim land. In 1830 the Mexican Government realized their were too many Americans in Texas and began cracking down on immigration. The damage was already done, however. The Americans, with their own language, culture, relatives in the east, and shared loyalties began demanding more and more autonomy from Mexico.
In 1835, unhappy with changes in the Mexican Government, Texans rose up and declared independence.
I'm proud of my Texas forefathers. Many died for our independence. We need to learn from history though.... The reverse is now taking place. Millions of illegals are moving into the south. They have their own language, culture, relatives to the south, and shared loyalties.... See where this is going?

Living in San Diego county I see it every day. I'm a minority. There is a VERY strong movement to take it back.

I'm so sure they commit more crimes than anyother group of people already here in the US.
Right...
I live in Arizona. I hear, and see this everyday. You know what I see? Mothers trying to provide for their children. Give them an education. People taking the ---- jobs no one else will.
Do you know how it would effect our economy if they left?
Whats left of agriculture industry will move to Chile like the rest. The people will bitch when they go to the store to buy produce. Or when they have to pay a contractor $30 an hour, at the LEAST, to work on their house.
Why dont you go pick grapes, or build a wall for someone for next to nothing?
I really think they should work on granting amnesty to the ones who are here. Giving them social security cards so they can get real jobs. Making them pay taxes.
No one wanted the Irish, or Italians when they were coming over here in swarms either. They do call the US a melting pot for some reason.

Would be a major boost to the economy to have Americans working.
Because the Mexicans from the Home Depot parking lot already do.
Oceanside Gang Unit arrests illegal Mexican gangbangers daily only to have them show up again after deportation. Mexico doesn't want them and gives them a booklet on how to cross back to USA without issue.
