I am looking at getting some green star polyps at my lfg. the guy propigates all of his corals, and he mentioned that he had done the same for his green star, but i was curious as to how one frags a green star, it seems the old cut it off and epoxy to a new rock wouldnt really work. if it is not too difficult i am considering fragging one piece all over a rock so that they will grow back together filling in and covering the rock. any ideas or past experiences? thanks.

The "old cut it off and epoxy it" does work. You cut an area of the mat and then peel it off. You then transplant where you want. I just laid mine on LR with light flow and the soon attached and started spreading. HTH

This may be a dumb question, but when using the super glue, is it necessary to pull the rock out of the tank and dry it, or do you just put the glue on the coral and stick it to the rock in the tank? I have a Riccordia that just spit out a puppy and would like to attack it to a piece of rock, but I'm not sure the best way.

You can do it in the tank w/ most corals. Just make sure when you cut it that the juice doesn't get on any other corals. Try to get the juice out.

gsp doesn't juice as much as say, a mushroom or zoo, you should be ok but outside is always best
