This is straight from the current bill being proposed which you can view here. http://www.rules.house.gov/111/LegText/111_hr1_text.pdf
335 million for aids and sexually transmitted disease prevention programs.
60 million for environmental health programs
30 million for injury prevention programs
40 million to osha for more programs (wouldn't the 30 million previously stated cover this)
30 million for public health workforce programs
40 million to the national center for health statistics.
50 million to the states to implement healthcare-associated infection reduction strategies (what in the hell is this).
200 million for the washington national mall (is it really this big to need all that money)
100 million for National park service centennial challenge signature programs and projects
500 million to the bureau of indian affairs mainly for the building and maintaining of schools. (aren't they a sovereign nation and making a ton of money from the casinos?)
550 million for indian health facilities for construction and maintenance. (couldn't they just use the 500 million already set aside for them)
150 million to the smithsonian institute..
80 million for the enforcement of worker protection laws, oversight, and coordination of activities. This money is transferable to osha, esa, and eta at the discretion of secretary of labor.
Isn't most of this stuff already paid out through the yearly budget, what I see is a way to increase the size and cost to run government and pay government more.
If someone else sees differently on how this stimulates the economy please explain it to me.
