Have you applied at Walmart as a door greeter? I know that many Walmart stores allow greeters to sit if they have a medical condition that prohibits standing for long periods and WM is one of the most likely places to hire you.
That's good thinking...when I went to Walmart at lunch today the guy greeter was in one of those mobile carts...

I do not think he has a problem with working, it is the places of employment that do not want him because they consider him a a liability. I bet sitting is the one thing that would bother his back. Fanker I hope things get better for you. You are young and I truly believe things, no matter how much they suck, happen for a reason. Maybe this is a chance for you to try to do something you really love doing, good luck to you.

Perspective is a funny thing in life. You can have the mentally challenged bagging a person's groceries. The bagger being the happiest person in the world with no possesions but still loving the life they have. The person they are bagging for having a high paying job, stressed out, divorced, and totally depressed as they put value in possessions over people.
Personally? I hate going to the grocery store but loving life. Look at my avatar -- how could I not?

I totally understand that. WM overlooks this more than any company I have seen, barring Goodwill. That's why I suggest them. They are willing to let him sit if need be. Lots of people hate Walmart, but I don't have a problem with them. If you are ever asked to raise funds for a cause, seek them out. There is a notebook kept in each store that tracks money they give to community fundaising programs. WM gives a TON of money back to local communities, but people rarely see it. WM does not publicize it, nor does WM hating media. During the massive wildfires last fall in southern Ca, thousands of people were evacuated to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Up roll TEN WalMart tractor trailers full of water and supplies.

Home depot is the same way.
