wax, how tall is that skimmer and how high is the water level in it?
I have an ASM G3, and I think I may have to sit it up on a stand the way you have yours.

he could put in bubble baffle walls with a sponge at the bottom that should alleviate that problem.
Lemme measure... total height is 20")that doesn't include those PVC spacers) water height in the skimmer is 6.5 inches. I had to keep adding little pieces of PVC to get it to just the right height. It seems to be working perfectly now.
the only reason I can see to have a valve in those places would be to either:
control the amount of flow to each side.
or to shut off waterflow completely in case of a power outage.
here, I edited that picture, if you want to do it that way...
The black stuff is eggcrate to keep chunks of stuff from flowing over into the pump area.
and about micro bubbles there going to be creative no matter what right??? when i falls from the fuge to the sump it will cuz micro bubbles am i right or wrong there
thx for your guyses help i know its probably frustrating getting your point acrossed but im so clueless when it comes to this
to get even water amount to each side a would split it with a y section not a t section
They get created yes, but forcing the water to go under a baffle like the one I drew in that picture keeps most of them from getting sucked up my your pump and sent to your main tank. The bubbles float back up in the baffled section and the water goes UNDER the baffle... understand?
Yeah, I don't use PVS at all, its flex hose like for ponds. My overflow and return is drilled into the bottom of my tank, not a hang on box like you are getting... I'll post some pictures.
thanks id really appreciate it your probly the nicest and most patient and maybe the most experienced person on here how long have you been doing SWA ???
