All these tangs are of the larger species of tangs. I personally wouldn't put a naso in that size tank. They grow fast under proper conditions. I once had a Naso, hippo and powder brown in a 90 gallon reef. The Naso quickly outgrew the tank and I could tell he wasn't happy so I gave it to a fellow hobbiest. The other tangs mentioned get huge as well, I wouldn't put more than 2 tangs in that tank. The clown tang will probably kill another tang that is introduced (they are mean)

I like your thinking!! A blue hippo and a sailfin should do fine in a 100...IMO. Good luck!!
Just remember blue hippo's are notorious for Ich....so be sure to QT it!!

The best way that I know of to get rid of Ich is Hypo....but you don't want to do that to your DT.
As for a UV...I don't have one....my neighbor who has a 220 FO & a 90 Reef told me not to waste my time or money on one.
But i'm sure there are people who love them.

also i was wondering is i could a magnificent fox face in with them.
I'd say yes...they will get along fine, but again, that whole thing with the size of the tank comes into play....the foxface gets up to about 9-10 inches, the sailfin 12-18 and the hippos about the same....so it may be a bit crowded.
Not saying it couldn't work though.

okay thanks i am for sure going to trade in my clown tang that sucker is freaking mean!!!

I can tell you....you will be very happy with a sailfin...although mine is kind of aggressive to new tankmates since it was the only big fish in there for a long time.
Right now the sailfin is going after the magnificent foxface i just got today.

well i probably going to add at the same time they will be the only fish in the tank except for my pair of blue jaw triggers
both about 4-6 in.

I hate being that guy......but 2 blue jaw triggers a sailfin and foxface......that's a lot of big fish....I wouldn't do that in my 180.
I have my sailfin, my fox and i'm pondering on a blonde naso, but thats it.
You might have a crowded tank when they are all full grown.

okay i am going to just get a purple red sea tang instead of the foxface and salfin.
Excellent choice! IMO the Sailfin would also get too big for a 100 but the Purple Tang should do very well long term.
